Joost and Miguela de Villebois, who are descended from an ancient French family that has been present in the Netherlands since the 19th century, founded this family-run winery. Joost and Miguela, who are enthusiastic about French culture and the Loire Valley, moved to Touraine in 1996 after falling in love with Loire Sauvignon Blanc.

With a regard for the soils and the terroir, they combine modern technology, creativity, and experimentation to develop a variety of terroirs throughout appellations in the Loire Valley. Villebois firmly think that by living in harmony with the environment, they can capture the essence of the land. 

Winemaker and agricultural engineer Patrice Merceron joined in 2014 and now leads a group of passionate winegrowers and winemakers to create outstanding Sauvignon Blanc wines that capture the unique characteristics of the Loire Valley.
