At the forefront of winemaking, Kayra Wines creates high-quality wines from the Anatolia area, which is regarded as the birthplace of wine. The wines are produced using both distinctive native and foreign varietals.
Modern vinification methods are being used to vinify these ancient indigenous types, and the results have won awards. The vineyards and wineries have received tremendous investment, and the vines are planted in the greatest locations.
The 1942 establishment of the Elazi winery in Eastern Anatolia is solely dedicated to the production of red wines. The 1996 construction of the Arköy Winery in Thrace includes a 1,200-barrel cellar designated for the maturing of unique cuvées. Kayra hopes to do this under the direction of expert winemaker Daniel O'Donnell.
The mission of Kayra is to bring Turkey's rich heritage and generous character to the attention of great wine enthusiasts, worldwide.
