Kyperounda Winery is located in Kyperounda, a Pitsilian village from which it derives its name. The winery is one of the tallest in the world and Europe's highest winery. It is situated 1200 metres above sea level, fifty kilometres from Limassol and seventy-five from Nicosia.

A group of regional wine producers founded the Kyperounda winery in the late 1990's with the intended goal of maximising the region's potential for wine production. Together, their efforts and the Photos Photiades family's vision resulted in the creation of exceptional Cypriot wines with a distinctive flavour.

The warm, dry summers and generally moderate, rainy winters that define Cyprus's mild Mediterranean environment are contrasted by the perfect temperature and humidity levels for the maturing of grapes in the autumn and spring.
