La Spinetta is an Italian winery that mostly produces Piedmont-based wines. It is notably well-known for its single-vineyard Barolo Campe and Barbaresco wines, as well as Pin, an original Nebbiolo and Barbera blend. These wines can be enjoyed young or after several years of ageing and are renowned for their rich, velvety taste.

When the estate was first established in 1977, Moscato was the primary grape variety produced. The Cà di Pian, a Barbera d'Asti, was the first red wine that La Spinetta had produced. The first single-vineyard Nebbiolo, the Barbaresco Gallina, was released in 1995. Pin was initially introduced in 1989.

Vineyards in La Spinetta typically feature vines that are at least 35 years old. A week or so earlier harvesting is frequently possible for La Spinetta because to extensive green harvesting, which keeps output low and maximises quality.

Seventy five percent of vineyards are biodynamically grown, and neither chemical fertilisers nor pesticides are employed. Dedicated harvest teams manually choose the grapes.

Red wines are fermented in revolving stainless steel tanks using contemporary processes in the winery. Instead of using the more conventional large-format Slavonian oak barrels, La Spinetta matures its finest wines in contemporary French oak barriques, 80 percent of which are new.

In addition to its premium Nebbiolos, La Spinetta produces a wide variety of wines, such as several made from Barbera and Moscato, a Chardonnay, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a Passito Oro dessert wine.

La Spinetta recently expanded its business into Tuscany, where it produces many wines using Sangiovese, Vermentino, and Colorino. The most recent addition to the company's portfolio was the 2011 acquisition of Contratto in Canelli, a renowned metodo classic winery that also makes vermouths and bitters.
