The vines of Le Civaie Estate are spread over the municipalities of Pozzolengo and Desenzano in the Lugana Denomintion, two well-known lombardy regions.

Le Civaie are located in the southern region of Lake Garda, beneath the well-known Sirmione peninsula, which has been around since the latin poet Valerio Catullo's time. This region got its name because of the "Selva Lucana" forest that once stood here. This was prior to the land being remedied by the Serenissima Repubblica of Venice in 1400, who turned it into a cereal-growing area, hence the origin of the name "Le Civaie."
