Buy Malagousia wine: discover our exclusive Astir X selection

Explore aromatic Greek white wine with VS Narcissus Malagousia from Astir X, our first recommendation in this collection. Citrus, fresh white stone fruit and a mineral-driven character make it an inviting introduction to the grape. Compare it with bottles from Gerovassiliou, Alpha Estate and Navitas, or explore a Malagouzia–Assyrtiko blend for a different expression.

Start with VS Narcissus Malagousia by Astir X

Part of our exclusive Astir X range, VS Narcissus Malagousia comes from Souli in Corinthia, in the Peloponnese. Its crisp, aromatic profile combines citrus and fresh white stone-fruit notes with a refreshing mineral character.

Choose it when you want an aromatic white that remains fresh and food-friendly. Try it with grilled fish, prawns, salads or a mezze-style meal, adjusting the match for stronger dressings and spices. For another side of Astir X, compare it with Assyrtiko Selection White, whose tasting notes emphasise orchard fruit, texture and bright acidity.

What does Malagousia taste like?

You will also see the grape written as Malagouzia. Aromatic examples can show peach, nectarine, citrus and floral notes, with freshness balanced by varying degrees of texture. Individual wines differ by producer, region and winemaking, so use the bottle's tasting notes rather than expecting every Malagousia to taste the same.

A fruity or floral aroma does not by itself mean a wine is sweet. Check the individual wine's style before choosing it for a particular meal or occasion.

Serving and food-pairing ideas

Serve chilled with seafood, grilled vegetables, salads or lighter poultry dishes. Fresher styles suit simpler preparations, while more textured examples can accompany richer sauces. For spicy food, consider the heat level and the specific wine rather than assuming every aromatic white will be a good match.

Start with Astir X VS Narcissus, explore our Assyrtiko wines for another Greek white style, or browse the wider Greek wine collection. Product pages show the listed vintage, bottle size and current availability.

Our minimum order is six bottles. Standard delivery is £7.95, with free standard delivery on orders of £150 or more. Check the delivery terms and any postcode-specific charges before ordering.
