Nikolaos Zaharias realised a lifelong dream in 1946 by founding a modest winery in Askri, Central Greece, thanks to his love of wine and the age-old winemaking customs of his own region.

Athanasios Zaharias, his son, joined the family business in 1967 and brought with him innovative and progressive ideas. Together, they progressively converted the little artisanal winery into a modern winery.

It was time for the third generation, Nikos, Stelios, and Panayiotis, to join the family business in 2005, the year 'Muses Estate' was established. Their talents, scientific know-how, and fresh ideas, when joined with the legacy and wisdom of the family, further enriched Muses Estate.

At the base of Mount Ida, in the Valley of the Muses, they produce wine from their vines.
