Gascony, which is located rural South West France, has a long history of viticulture that was formerly encouraged by the success of Armagnac. However, by the second part of the 20th century, this production had decreased, leaving abandoned settlements and vineyards.

André Dubosc, a local guy dedicated to revitalise the region and revive its wine renown, stopped this deterioration. In 1979, he gathered a group of winegrowers who shared his philosophy, and the three cooperatives of Plaisance, Aignan, and Saint-Mont were merged to form Producteurs Plaimont.

Their quality-focused strategy combines innovation with a respect for tradition: old vineyards have been restored, new ones planted, and environmentally sustainable practices that avoid pesticides have been adopted.

Modern winemaking methods produce vibrant wines that highlight the mouthwatering flavours and succulent acidities of the distinctive, regional grapes found in Gascony.
