Renaissance Fleuriet Freres from Great Wines Direct.
From the French Revolution onward, the Fleuriet family has farmed cattle, grain, and eventually wine, planting their first vines in 1991. They have been residents of Sancerre from the beginning of time.
In 2014, Benoit and Matthieu Fleuriet, brothers, founded Renaissance Fleuriet Freres to assist their good friend Stéphane Marchand, who was unable to continue managing his 7-hectare vineyard including the most exquisite terroirs in Sancerre. They made investments in the vineyards to bring them back to their previous level of excellence, planting new vines and switching to organic farming to protect the biodiversity, terroir, and environment.
The vineyard has organic certification and plans to obtain biodynamic certification in 2023. The word "Renaissance" commemorates the rebirth of the vineyards and conjures up images of their voyage. Their wines are made in a gravity-fed winery with little intervention. They are wonderfully pure, refreshing, and exquisitely capture the subtleties of the Sancerre region.
With the palest pink hue, aromas of raspberry, strawberries and cream, this elegant rose combines the freshness of Sancerre with the velvety texture of Pinot Noir
