There is nothing else like The House of Ruinart. It was the first House of Champagne, founded in 1729 and motivated by a monk with foresight far ahead of his time.

Dom Thierry Ruinart was a Benedictine monk who lived from 1657 to 1709 and was a contemporary of Louis XIV. He was intuitive, visionary, diligent, and modest.

Its bottle's distinctive design pays homage to iconic bottles from the eighteenth century. The earliest documented depiction of champagne consumption is seen in Jean-François de Troy's iconic painting "Luncheon with Oysters," which was finished six years after Maison Ruinart was established. The bottles in the painting have the exact same shape as the bottles used by Maison Ruinart.
