To unlock the full potential of Chile's wine industry and produce a world-class Icon-level wine unlike any other in Chile, Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick established an international joint venture of Sena Wines in 1995.

In 1997, they launched the first vintage of Sena (1995), the first wine to become an icon in Chile, in order to share their dream, work, and dedication. This was a turning point and set Chile on the path to producing ultra-premium wines.

They gave it the name Sena as a declaration to the world that Chile was capable of producing wines of the highest calibre, expressing the distinctiveness of the Aconcagua Valley, and altering perceptions of Chilean wine.

Sena is a distinctive red blend in the Bordeaux style that is distinctly Chilean. Its main grape is Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carmenere unmistakably links it to Chile. The blend is completed by Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot.
