Vicente Izquierdo, the company's founder, and Stefano Gandolini, one of Chile's best winemakers, have launched an interesting new endeavour called Vina Ventolera.

The 1999-planted vineyard is situated in the Leyda Valley area, only six km from the Pacific Ocean. The region is being singled out as Chile's newest and most innovative cool-climate wine region. It is significantly influenced by the Humboldt Current, which rises from the Antarctic and has a chilling effect.

This powerful sea breeze, known in Spanish as 'ventolera' has a chilling effect that helps create gorgeous, refined wines.
