Wild Garden Wines are sourced from vineyards in the Western Cape, an area of South Western Africa that is rugged and biologically rich. Although the region's climate is generally more Mediterranean, the mountainous topography produces mesoclimates that are perfect for producing high-quality wines.

Vineyards on the Western Cape are influenced and refreshed by the oceanic breezes from the Atlantic and the warmer currents of the Indian Ocean as they meet near the South African Cape.

Instead of being crushed, the grapes for Wild Garden Wines were allowed to remain in touch with their skins and macerated for six hours at a controlled temperature of about 6°C. After that, crushing occurred and selected yeasts were used to ferment at 16°C in stainless steel tanks until dry. Because malolactic fermentation did not occur, the end result is a crisp style of wine
