Jarno Bianco Appassimento Castorani IGT 75cl

Italy
Trebbiano, Malvasia, Cococciola

Jarno Bianco Appassimento is a distinctive Italian white wine from Castorani, crafted in the Abruzzo region using the appassimento method.

Grapes, dried by a special technique in the underground cellars at Castorani, concentrate flavour and natural sugars, delivering a rich, full-bodied wine with honeyed notes and subtle complexity.

This wine pairs beautifully with seafood, creamy pasta dishes, and soft cheeses. The appassimento technique creates a wine of depth and character, ideal for those seeking something beyond everyday whites.

The Wine – Premium Organic Wines from Abruzzo

Castorani produces exceptional Italian wines from the picturesque hills of Abruzzo, where the majestic Apennine Mountains meet the Adriatic Sea. Located approximately 350 metres above sea level, the vineyards benefit from abundant sunshine, cooling coastal breezes and ideal growing conditions that create wines of remarkable character, balance and complexity.

Specialising in indigenous Italian grape varieties, including Montepulciano, Trebbiano and Pecorino, Castorani combines traditional craftsmanship with modern expertise to produce distinctive organic wines that showcase the richness and elegance of this celebrated Italian wine region.

The Estate – Centuries of Heritage and Exceptional Terroir

The history of Podere Castorani dates back to 1793, with its magnificent historic villa at the heart of an estate spanning approximately 100 hectares. Revived in 1999 by a group of passionate investors, including former Formula One driver Jarno Trulli, the estate has been transformed into a respected producer of premium Italian wines.

Its vineyards, averaging over 30 years of age, are cultivated using organic farming methods, reflecting a commitment to preserving the natural environment. Beneath the estate lies an impressive underground winery, where naturally stable temperatures provide ideal conditions for fermentation, maturation and ageing.

The Winemaker – Passion, Precision and Italian Expertise

Castorani's winemaking philosophy is guided by a deep respect for the land and a commitment to expressing the distinctive character of Abruzzo's indigenous grape varieties.

Led by winemaker Angelo, the team carefully oversees every stage of production, from vineyard management and grape selection to fermentation and maturation. Combining traditional techniques with modern winemaking expertise, Castorani creates wines that reflect the estate's remarkable heritage, exceptional terroir and dedication to quality.
