For Zaccagnini, the tralcetto, a vine branch knotted with raffia around the neck of the bottles, has come to represent excellence, passion, and a love of both wine and art.

The tralcetto, produced by the women of Bolognano, a little town in the province of Pescara where Zaccagnini winery was established, has spread awareness of the region and the wines of Abruzzo around the globe by standing for quality, kinship, and awe of the land.

In 1978, Marcello Zaccagnini made the decision to follow his father Ciccio's passion for wine and turn the grapes he and his family had grown into a gathering spot surrounded by wine and fine art. Since then, the winery's history has been marked by fortunate events, giving up things in order to pursue dreams, making decisions, and most importantly, a lot of hard work and dedication.
