Aged on the lees for four years in the bottle, Hattingly Valley's Classic Reserve layers mellow sophistication upon the inherently vibrant fruit conferred by England's growing conditions The bubbles form a classically fine 'mousse', and the aromas and flavours evoke bright lemon, hedgerow blossom and baked apple, with toasted brioche and slivered almonds It has marvellously fine texture and a lovely finish This is a Champagne-style blend: the largest component being Chardonnay, followed by Pinots Noir and Meunier
